Panna Sharma serves as CEO and President of Lantern Pharma (Nasdaq: LTRN), where he spearheads the fusion of artificial intelligence, genomics, and precision oncology to streamline and accelerate cancer drug discovery and clinical development. As a seasoned life sciences executive, Panna has secured over $250 million in funding and successfully navigated three companies through IPOs in his roles as CEO or Chief Strategy Officer. Beyond Lantern, he founded and chairs Starlight Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech venture laser-focused on innovative therapies for central nervous system (CNS) and brain cancers. His foundation in deep tech stems from Boston University’s interdisciplinary University Professors Program, where he studied artificial intelligence and neural networks. This expertise was sharpened over more than a decade in corporate strategy, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in high-growth biotech and technology sectors - where he architected and championed value creation from early-stage innovation to market impact. When not advancing the frontiers of AI-powered medicine, Panna enjoys discovering new culinary experiences or unwinding with music alongside his wife and three children.
